Although acrochordons are typically painless, they can cause discomfort if caught on clothing or jewelry. The risk of ischemia underscores the importance of monitoring the growths for any sudden changes, such as the development of pain or color changes. Acrochordons are considered benign and do not pose a significant health risk. They tend to remain stable and do not progress to more severe conditions.
